Answer» I recently upgraded my server PC from XP to XP SP2. Previously I had no problems with connecting to my LAN, but now, I lose connectivity ALMOST every day. I often have to re-setup the Home OFFICE networking. Some times it works, sometimes it doesn't. However, I SUSPECT that it may have some problems with the firewall setting. Once too, I saw a Windows error message that said something about having problems with a Generic host driver. Could someone help me out?Windows gives me this message: Generic Host PROCESS for Win32 has encountered a problem and needs to close Is it possible that the XP is corrupted? You can try this patch and see if it helps...

I downloaded the patch but it works only with regular XP, not on [email protected] However, I have in the meantime solved the problem. I needed to specify the exceptions on the Firewall in order for my workstations to access the server connection.
