Answer» So I just bought a laptop and want to share the internet connection I have with my pc. My problem is that my PC is an old dell desktop and those stupid guys at dell made it so that it doesn't have an ETHERNET port. Right now it is CONNECTED to my modem via usb. So if I get a router how can I connect it without an ethernet port in my PC? Please help!There is no ethernet port? Are you sure? It is most probably quite old then.. I'd say get a slot in PCI ethernet CARD, that is, if your motherboard has the required slots.Thank you for your help!... i opened up my computer and found ONE free PCI slot open. Hopefully this will work.
