I keep getting the following error messege at startup, Failed to connect to windows service, Windows could not connect to the system event notification service, This problem prevents limited users logging into the system as an administrative user, You can review the system event log for details about why the service does not respond.
The computer that is getting this error mess ALSO detects no networks or network card. I see them in the device manager but none function, I have reinstalled drivers for this network card and nothing changes. I have also seen a messege that the network adapter needs to be configured. Have TRIED but nothing changed. Code 31 is what comes up in that messege. The adapter is a 6T04. I have also tried restoring to a different point when everything was functioning properly and nothing changed. I have worked on the above computer before and have never had a problem just PLUGGING it into my network and getting online. The only THING that I have noticed that changed since the last time I had this computer was that a program named Safari (Browser) For apple was on the system and that it had been changed to default. I changed it back to Internet Explorer and made IE the default and uninstalled the Safari but again nothing changed. The only thing I have yet to do is to physically remove the network card and pop it back in to assure that its placed properly but thought to post here first. Your input would be soooo appreciated. Oh and the back of the network card where the line plugs into does light up.
