Solve : Not connecting to internet at all?

Me and my friend got Sky broadband on friday, and since we were away have only just been ABLE to install it last night. My laptop was fine on install, it connected instantly.

However, my friend tried to get wireless internet on Sunday and couldnt, she could however get internet with the cable. Yesterday when I got mine working, hers wouldnt work at all for the internet, and it still isnt today.

I have reset the router 3 times, uninstalled and INSTALLED sky each time as well, it still wont connect. I have tried turning off the WINDOWS firewall, as well as avg, neither made any difference. I have gone through every single one of the checks sky has advised us to do from the cd, changing the ip, tried changing it from WPA to WEP ENCRYPTION, didnt work. Nothing is working. It cant be the wireless router as mine is working, yet my friend has been able to get internet wirelessly before, and she could get internet from using a dongle.

Her laptop is Windows Vista as well as mine, HP, but thats all I know I'm afraid.

Yeah. I even turned it off deliberately and back on again to try and got nothing.Ok, so your friend is able to connect to your wifi router when she uses a dongle, but not with the built in wifi card?

On her machine:

Have you checked device manager for any issues (red crosses or yellow !'s or ?'s)?

On your router:

Is MAC address filtering setup?

In general:

Is she able to access the internet when using an ethernet cable directly from her laptop to the router?
