Solve : Not sure what's happening.?

Answer»

Hi guys,

I'm not sure what's happening with my computer so first of all I'll start by explaining what I've done.

Formated my computer TODAY did the usual steps etc etc.. then as I was going to connect my modem I noticed two of my network drives don't work anymore so I tried using USB and it installed but as I went to look through my Device Manager settings I found it end up being in the Network adapters so I can't connect to the net at all through my computer as it just see's it as a Local Network Connection? I'm assuming that it should be under Modems but not sure what to do, can someone please explain or help me fix this problem.

btw, I'm running VISTA 32-bit OEM and have a Motorola SB5101 modem.

Thanks in advance.you unstall n/w driver? ple check it.Not too sure on how to do that as the computer was just reformated. =SWait, so you're plugged in via Internet Cable but cannot get online, correct?

Does it say you are connected?Yep, i'm plugged in via internet cable and cannot get online as it just acts as a another computer connected through my network? if that makes sense.

It does say that' i'm connected with my modem status.Does Windows say you're connected?

Also, what Windows Version is this?WINDOW's version is Vista Ultimate.

If I open up network and sharing it SHOWS that I'm not connected through the internet only towards Multiple networks icon.
