Solve : offline wireless printer?

Answer»

Hello guys,

I am new here and hope I can get some help or guidance from anyone.

I have tried this morning to print from a laptop ( as I did successfully yesterday) but the response was that the printer is offline.

The wireless printer is a Canon M4150.

Any help is HIGHLY appreciated.

Many thanks

Kind regards

Gianpi For anybody to answer this we'll need some more information. How is your network setup, your printer? What model of printer do you have?Hello ninjatex,

Thanks for your prompt reply.

My network setup is a on LAN basis and I have BT broadband and EVERYTHING is linked wirelessly.

I have linked to the printer canon MG4150 two LAPTOPS: one with windows2003 successfully whereas the other one with windows7 keeps saying the printer is offline.

Please let me know whether the above is sufficient for you to provide me with some guidance or whether you need more information.

thank you

kind regards

gianpiwell according to google this is a comman problem and their are driver updates for windows seven. The updates or package is newer then your disk for your printer, make sure this is the right printer before you install the drivers. Although if it is not the installer will just end up giving you an error of some kind and you can't go PAST that POINT. http://www.microsoft.com/Windows/compatibility/windows-7/en-us/Details.aspx?type=Hardware&p=Canon%20Pixma%20MG4150%20All-in-One%20Printer&v=Canon&uid=Pixma%20MG4150&l=en-US&pf=29&pi=5&c=Printers%20%26%20Scanners&sc=Multifunction&os=64-bit Also note that I surched the following: your make model not printing on a windows seven computer. That is where I came across that link, but just in case you need another link you have my serch terms. This was also a big problem with my hp all and one untill they had an updated disk driver set that I could get from hp.

Good luck with your printing,
Nadia
