Answer» I have 4 computers and they all run XP Home or Pro. While running a chat window to NORTON support through Internet Security 2009 the chat window froze and I can no longer connect to the Internet on that computer. It is a XP Home computer. I've tried Internet Explorer and Firefox. I have turned off Windows firewall and I briefly uninstalled Internet Security; however, I still couldn't connect to the Internet. I can still connect to the LAN and the three remaining computers still connect to the Internet. The computer is CONNECTED to the Router through a hub and the other computer on the hub works fine. Alan <>< Two computers connect to an ethernet switch and it CONNECTS to the router. Sorry, I didn't realize a hub and a switch were different until I just now completed a Google search. I'm going to see if the IT man from work has time to come by this week.Do the other 3 computers have Norton installed, as well?Two have Norton and one has the latest version of Zone Alarm.Did you try to connect computer in question, straight to the modem?No, I'll call the ATT support line this week and I'll try connecting directly to the router or by DIAL up if that doesn't work.
