my computer is on a secured wireless connection and I gave my friend my password so that she can log on but she has problems logging on my connection. I am not sure how to help her.
thanksDid you give her your wireless connection's user name/SSID as well as the password?
What type of SECURITY is your wireless connection using? WEP (hope not)? WPA? WPA2?
Is your friend using an older wireless card? Older cards may not support WPA2 (or even WPA!!!)
Is your friend using Windows XP or Windows Vista?
Does she have firewall software on her computer?

i am using WEP security (64 bits) set up by the Linksys people. My friend has a firewall on her laptop I THINK is Symantec and she has an Acer laptop abuot 4 years old. When she typed in my password on my connectiion wireless..a prompt came up asking her about something regarding bits.
