Solve : PC won't boot?

Answer»

Not sure if this is the right place to post this and I didn't see anything relating to this problem. When turning on the computer it shows the first screen .. Big E and bottom right corner SAYS Boot (F10) Bios (F2) .. it hangs there for a few minutes then just goes to a black screen and just stays that way. There are no beeps or error codes. Only thing that has been done to this computer is RAM upgrades. I've taken all the Ram out which causes the error beeps that it should when there is no RAM. There are four memory slots. I have four sticks. First I took one out leaving 3 in.. turned PC on got same screen. Repeated this for each stick. Then I took all of the sticks out and I took each one and put one into the first slot, same thing, put second into first slot, same thing, third.. fourth, same thing. So I'm assuming it's not the RAM? Haven't done anything else to this PC. Only thing it was used for was web surfing and playing MMORPG game called DAoC. Hope I provided enough info. Any help would be great!

Is that the proper RAM for that MBoard ? ?
You didn't list the board so i couldn't check...
Quickest way to do it is to TRAVEL to Crucial's website and run the online scan on your machine...
This will tell you exactly what type and how much RAM that machine will take...kk sorry if I missed any information. Used another PC to get the information off of the emachines website. This is what I got off there for what kind of MB it has.

BIOS
Description MS-7207 Motherboard BIOS
File Type Updated Driver
Version A7207NE7.117
Operating System Windows XP

Also.. I can't get past the first screen that comes up when you first turn it on so.. I can't go onto a website to scan the machine.

NOTE: it's a Emachine Desktop T6532 .. everything in it is original except the additional ram that was added.. which was done awhile ago and it was running fine, just decided to stop working. That is the BIOS info...find out what MBoard it is and you can enter the info at Crucial manually...Put in computer on Crucials website and got this. Is this what you're asking for? (sorry for my computer dumbness )

Maximum Memory: 4096MB
Slots: 4 (2 banks of 2)
Standard Memory: 1024MB REMOVABLE
Graphics Support: PCI Express x16
USB Support: 2.x Compliant
Although the memory can be installed one module at a time, the best performance comes from using matched pairs of modules.

I did not install the last two at the same time, could this have caused the problem? This is not Crucial's info as it didn't specify what type and speed of RAM should be used...try again.
