Answer» im working on a question and I came up with an answer, but i would just like to clarify if its correct
the question asks We sample and digitize (with PCM) a VOICE signal with fmax=4 kHz and we use nb=6 bits/sample. The digital signal must be transmitted on a channel with bandwidth Bch= 6 kHz. What is the number of bits PER signal ELEMENT (R=?) for the worst case factor c=1 ?
the answer i have is r=4bits
I used the formula B(min) = c(N)(1/r) = c(n(sub b))(f(sub s))(1/r) = c(n(sub b))(2)(B analog)(1/r) As I said in one of your other posts, We PREFER not to help with homework here. Sorry.
