My situation here is this, my uncle bought for me a laptop ABROAD, and after I received it and try to connect to the internet via DSL it doesn't work. But when i check the properties of network connection it appears to be that it is connected and has a connection of 100mbps, I even tried to connect via wirelessLAN but still the same i can detect the connection but can't browse the net... but other laptops can connect the net via wireless and not... BTW i'm using vista for the non working one

repairing or diagnosing doesn't fix anythingcheck your IP address# see if its the same IP address# as on your other computer that you connect to the internet with. may need to hit REPAIR button to try and get a new one.While connected, check to see if you can PING another computer. Go to Start -> Run and type "cmd". When the command prompt opens, type "ping www.yahoo.com". What happens?

Also in the command prompt, type "ipconfig". What does it return?
