Solve : Printer Not Performing Properly?

Answer»

I have a 2- computer home network. ONE computer is running WIN98SE, the other WIN2000. Both share a printer, an HP 840C, which is physically connected to the WIN98 computer. The printer is recognized by both computers as part of the network, and that it is shared.
The problem is that when I send a print job to the printer from the remote computer, it is not printed CORRECTLY. The font is always huge, and only portions of the text, or picture, are printed on each page. What do I have to adjust in order for the printer to operate properly?
TomYou'll NEED to make sure the printer SOFTWARE and driver for that printer is compatible with the computer that's giving you the issues.

In addition, make sure you CHECK the Page Setup on the offending computer...and compare those settings against the settings of the computer it is attached to.Quote from: Saviour on September 07, 2008, 11:47:22 AM

Thanks for the advice. As you suggest the problem seems to be with the driver installed on the Windows 2000 computer. It's apparently corrupt. I'll find the correct driver and install it, and hope that will take care of things. If not, I'll ask again for help.
TomYou're welcome, Tom...
