Solve : Problems with a LAN card?

Answer»

Hello!

We have a HP ProLiant ML370 G3 server that is configured to be a DHCP server, AD, DNS server and a file server. It has WINDOWS 2003 server OS. And our network has 200+ computers.

Our problem is that it has a built in gigabit card yet it only reads 100Mbps when it is online. We tried updating its driver but still it's still at 100Mbps. Last one we did was to install a gigabit ethernet card there and after installing it runs at 1.0 GBPS. The next morning when we checked it, it register again a 100Mbps. Can anybody help us? Can somebody give us an idea? We tried to GOOGLE it but we haven't found a similar problem like we have.

Thanks in advance! Its only going to run as fast as your switch. To get the gigabit speed you will need a CAT 6 CABLE and a gigabit switch.

Yeah. We have those on our network.
