Answer» HELLO, I GOT this old IBM Thinkpad, and was wondering if it can get a wireless connection, it got no eternet port only dial-up, and I want it to be wireless, so I am going to INSTALL a wireless network card in it will it work ? It is 64MB of ram, 2gb, window 2000. Any HELP would be appreciated.If you got some way of installing a wireless network adapter it should work. Your options are probably going to be a USB or PCMCIA adapter.so I just install a NIC and it will work ? do I going to need to install any drivers?Yes you most likely need to install drivers. Win2k will most likely not have drivers for the wifi adapter. I can get the drivers from the manufactuer website like HP?Yes drivers are usually available from whoever manufactured the adapter. |
