Answer» i have a sony vaio which i reformatted recently to an OLD service pack 1 XP home edition. now i cannot connect to the internet from what i figure is a driver issue. i am trying to connect w/ an ethernet cord and not wireless. if SOMEONE could please point me in the right direction it would be MUCH appreciated1) Install Service Pack 2 2) Install all drivers (Look in Device Manager to see what has problems. Check for the existence of a NIC driver.) 3) Check the Sony site for your machine for the necessary drivers if you don't find a CD with them. 4) Run the Connection Wizard 5) Read the Manual Are you on CABLE or DSL?
