During the last 2 weeks I have had problems with my router disconnecting from the internet. That being SAID, my LAN- network is still working, but I loose the connection the internet. I am pretty sure the problem lies within the routher since I have several computers connected to the internet, and the same issue happens to all of them, I have also had a look at the network manager in my computer, and it also INDICATES on trouble:
 My computer ---------> Rotuer (works fine) ---------X--------> internet doesn't work. 
The problem can appear just all of a sudden, it can happen anywhere from 1-20 times a day and is getting really frustrating. All my computers a connected via wireless, and I've tried connecting via cable but it didn't solve the problem. Usually when the router loses the connection, what I do is that I unplugg the router and MODEM, wait a bit and reconnect it. When it had started up again the connection is usually back, but for how long can differ, sometimes 2 min sometimes 2 hours.

Zim0nTry bypassing the router, and just connect one computer via Ethernet cable to the modem, and see how long that connection lasts.  (This will mean your other computers will be offline, but it should tell you whether the problem is with the router, if the connection holds when connected directly to the modem.)As Aegis said, you need to prove that it is the router.

Some modems tend to overheat if placed in an area where there is poor circulation. try updating the firmware of your router. Might help against some problems... or,

Re-install drivers ,and give the router a factory reset ,start setting it up from scratch...Don't change the firmware of the router until you're sure that the router is the actual source of the problem.This thread is old. Either he fixed it or went somewhere else.

With the limited in FORMATION he gave, it was hard to even guess what the problem was.

 Maybe his modem was eaten by a snake. We'll never know.Agreed.  I threw that last post, just in case.
