It should automatically reset.Actually, I've found with mine (Linksys) that it NEEDS to be unplugged for about 30 seconds to fire back up again. I TRIED it for a few seconds a number of times and it didn't work. I finally talked to someone in tech support who recommended unplugging it for 30 seconds and that's worked fine ever since.Yeah, sometimes it takes a few seconds for capacitors to discharge. In my case it's essentially instantaneous - but it varies with the hw.
