Answer» My sister is running XP Home on a Compaq laptop. She recently installed a wireless network. EVERYTHING works fine, but when she powers down, the wireless settings are erased. Everytime she wants to access her network, she MUST re-accomplish the settings. What kinds of things will cause this to happen--COMPUTER, software, virus protecton (she uses Norton Internet SECURITY), router, etc.?That is strange. Does she have administrator rights to this computer. The only THING I could come up with is maybe the computer has been setup to not save settings.Is she using the default Wireless program for Windows? I know my brother is using another program to configure wireless networks but it can't safe the password for our router so I created a macro for him.
