Solve : SD card reader help? |
|
Answer» Hello, not sure if this is the right section, but will give it a go. every time I try to click on one of the folders it says "E:\ not accessible. access denied" have you tried all three folders? also, by you saying 3 folders, can i assume that this is a 3 port card reader? if so, i find the above quote very ODD as windows designates a drive letter for each SD card port. if you have a 3 port SD card reader, you would be reading a different drive letter for each folder. Ex: you would have a E:\ not accessible error for one folder, a F:\ not accessible error for another folder, and a G:\ not accessible error for the last error. Quote from: DySS on September 11, 2008, 01:29:27 AM Yes, card is in the reader. is there an LED on the reader that confirms the card is correctly and fully inserted into the reader?Post a screenshot, please. Also, most card readers come with four SLOTS. If you're only getting three drive letters, then chances are one of the card slots are trying to fight with something else on your computer for the same drive letter. This is what I think is happening. You have your main drive (C), and a CD/DVD drive (D) and your card reader (which is TRYING to use D, E, F, and G). The SD slot may be fighting with the CD drive to use D. That's why E, F, and G are giving you the error. To fix this: Start -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Computer Management -> Disk Management. Right-click on one of the card slot's drive letters and left-click "Change Drive Letter and Path" -> Change to something lower in the alphabet (I usually use W, X, Y, and Z myself). |
