Solve : setting up a home network?

Answer»

Good evening!
OK, I've spent too many hours trying to set up my home network again. I used to have it all CONNECTED but somehow it's gone.
My main computer is a Dell desktop that is directly connected to the modem and wireless router and also has the printer connected to it. I also have a Dell laptop that is connected to the internet through the wireless router. I want to be able to print from my laptop and access files off of my desktop from my laptop and vise-versa. Can someone please give me step by step directions on how to set this up? I have exhausted the "help" options on the computers. Also, both computers are running Windows XP
THANK YOU FOR ANY HELP YOU CAN GIVE ME!Quote from: SHESHE on July 16, 2010, 05:51:47 PM

...I have exhausted the "help" options on the computers...
Search Share Printer.I have tried all of this and I am having no luck.
My printer and folders have all been selected to be shared.
I assume the desktop computer is ON when you try to print?yes printer is on.

There is nothing listed when I go to "My Network Places"Quote from: SHESHE on July 16, 2010, 06:19:45 PM
