My brother has recently been LOOKING for easy ways to set up a LAN connection connected my computer with his, so I'm wondering if anyone has any simple ways to set up a LAN connection or a link to a site that can help? Or if there aren't any simple ways, any way would be accepted.

If that's the case you only need to be in the same workgroup.
System PROPERTIES -> Computer name -> click Network ID -> computer is part of business network -> Without domain -> Give the workgroup a specific name -> Click finish and restart.
Or is it something else you want to do with the LAN connection?
