Solve : Slow/lost Internet connection? |

Answer» I frequently have problems with very slow or lost internet connection. Not sure where to start, but I'll give as much info as I can think of and go from there. I get a message about conflicting IP'sAre you using static IP on certain computers, devices instead of DHCP?I checked all the computers and they are set for DHCP. Not sure how to check other devices such as Iphone, DirecTV, etc. As I was checking the computers for DHCP, the laptop I was on lost connection to the router. I checked my other laptop that was on at the time and that one had also lost connection. I than checked my desktop which is directly connected to my router and that computer did have internet access. However by the time I checked the desktop and came back to the laptop, the laptop had reconnected to the router. So that is an example of what has been going on although usually I need to reset DSL/router to get reconnected. Don't know if this info will help at all or not. What do you do when you experience this kind of problem? I work at home and it bothers me whenever I lose my internet connection.You can obviously ignore the above post |
