If you have no contract for any services on a smartphone you can still use someone's else's WIFI for free is this CORRECT?If you have the password.
I have a TracPhone type of smart phone and I regularly have my data plan ( only 180mb per $20 card ) SHUT off. I use wifi from free sources to use it, and only turn on the 3G service that uses my 180mb data plan when I am away from a free wifi source and the internet access is important. So I dont stream anything over 3G, I just use it for IM'ing friends or quick browser look ups or GPS etc, then flip the 3G off. However on free wireless of an open wifi or one that someone gives you access to the data is free.My old Android smartphone (ZTE Blade 3) doesn't even have a SIM in it any more, and I can use it on wifi in hotels, CAFES, pubs, trains, buses etc as well as the router at home or at friends houses. I got an app onto it called IP Webcam and it can be a wireless webcam on my home LAN using the back facing camera, although that runs the battery down fairly quickly.
