Answer» I conncect to the internet through a NETGEAR wireless modem that is secure. All is cool in the AM, then in the PM, my wireless connection will not work. I have turned off all the Power Management tools for Networking, I went in and set up the Wireless connection again; still no wireless connection. This AM I physically cabled in to the modem, and I am back on LINE. I had also check the Network items in the devise manager, and all reported working properly. Any comments? The wireless connection should work anytime of day or night. Logic dictates that it would have to be some factor other that sunlight. Are there any other conditions that would follow a day / night cycle? For example, are there more people in your area using a wireless connection only in the later hours? Or perhaps the is source of interference the starts in the PM.This happened between 3-6PM. I was able to login to the web with my Netbook and my wife was able to use her computer. It is like my computer just turned of the wireless controllers, but when I checked they were running okay. Mystery. I also ran the system restore from another date and no luck. Thanks,That is a very interesting story. You have already done the TACTICAL thing, you have restored your computer to a previous condition. In most cases that would repair any problems with software drivers or things of that nature. The fact that it occurs just during a narrow time, --Makes me think it is not something that has anything to do with the computer. Well, there is an exception. It could be that your computer was scheduled to do an update to a software package during that time-frame. However, that is very unlikely. Usually updates are done in the wee hours of the morning, not in the hours of the afternoon. Now if something like that happened to me, I would suspect it is the local high school that is about a block from here. When school lets out the kids could latch onto my wireless connection and get into the Internet. But my Internet connection is not real fast. Would only take FOUR or five extra users downloading files to shut me out of the system. Or make it go so slow that I would be inclined to RESET the router. But I suppose you do not have a local high school next to you just one block away and within distance of your wireless router. Oh, and by the way, using WEP encryption on your router will not do much good. Nowadays the kids learn how to get around that before they get out of fourth second grade. Chat Room with Sony. Very response. Some conflict with Windows 7 and the WLAN Switch and LED. Krystal got me back up. How do theses Kids learn all the tricks and I don't have a clue. No High School near. Thanks again.Glad you got it fixed. For future reference, how do you get into the Sony Chat Room? Please post a link if you can. http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/select-system.pl?DIRECTOR=CONTACT
