Answer» Been struggling with INTERMITTENT connection for about 2 years Finally got some solutions that helped, maybe y'all can add some too.
First I called my ISP, they did some "tests" and "fixes" which did nothing and actually Slowed my iternet more...got that taken care off Next they sent technician who changed the switches, cables and even modem, Did nothing Then they recomenddd I sign up for their elite tech support for 15$ a month (with one year contract) WAIT what??
Giving up I googled like crazy and found these solutions. Disabled Dns caching, start menu, run, services, then disabled dns client Also went into my routers firewall and disabled ip flooding, "apparently this Is necessary for gamers as when we play we connect with lotta other people at once"
That helped for a while, then again it came back! But noticed this time it was with my iPhone...sometimes when it's conected via wifi, I get intermittent connection...
Still searching for a solution, but for now I just keep wifi off
Can anyone recommend solutions? Or even more solutions like disabling dns cache and ip flooding?
Being a tank, kinda important to have a reliable connection And tbh, we pay for Internet, so we are entitled to it Google > att tech supportGoogled and turns out this is a common iOS problem, But didn't find any solutions yet Do you have DSL or Cable? I had intermitten signal loss with my DSL at one time. Phone company check found no problems with their outside lines. Said it had to be somewhere inside of my home. I checked all the CONNECTIONS and filters but could not find any problems. Some how the DSL signal was being weakened. I finally fixed the problem by installing a POTS splitter and running a dedicated CAT 5 cable to my modem. A POTS splitter works by removing the DSL signal from the inside HOUSE wiring.
