i am looking for a way of making a circuit to plug into a computer modem so it will still work proporly but it wont have the ability to call out

What is that you are trying to get done? You don't want someone to USE your computer on the web so they can't dial out?

i wanted it to be able to get callerID but a VIRUS that uses the modem wood be uslessAren't there devices to find your CALLER ID already?Can't you just set up a firewall?yes there are devices thet get caller id but i want it on my computer and i have lots of modems
