Answer» I have a TrakPhone which has internet through its 1.25"x 1" display which is unrealistic for real computer use. One of my friends tethered his phone which is not a TrakPhone to his computer a netbook while on the road and is able to get online through it.
My Phone is a LG Model LG100C FCC ID# BEJLG100C Rev 1.1 I havent found any info for online on how to get the tether to work, however I did find the correct driver for the computer to recognize it for what it is from a Chinese website. No idea what the site said, but the link there with the phone matched and so I DOWNLOADED it to a beater computer in case it had anything bad in it and it no longer showed in Device Manager as Unknown Device, but instead it recognized it.
I then tried to get out to the web through the trakphone and it wouldnt. So I was like hmm... maybe I have to initiate the web CONNECTION with my TrakPhone first and then somehow it will know to use this connection via somne sort of built in driver. But nope. I also looked into how to redirect my network access to the TrakPhone and no such luck since it needs an IP, and Gateway out and i cant even get this tether setup that far.
With each test of this costing me 1 MINUTE minimum of airtime, I decided to check here vs wasting time trying to get this to work when SOMEONE ELSE here may know how to set this up without burning all my minutes through trial and error.
