1.

Solve the equation and also verify your solution:\(\frac{5x}{3} + \frac{2}{5} = 1\)

Answer»

We have,

\(\frac{5x}{3} + \frac{2}{5} = 1\)

\(\frac{5x}{3} = 1 - \frac{2}{5}\) (by taking LCM)

= \(\frac{(5-2)}{5}\)

By using cross-multiplication we get,

\(\frac{5x}{3}\) = \(\frac{3}{5}\)

5x = \(\frac{(3×3)}{5}\)

x = \(\frac{9}{(5×5)}\)

= \(\frac{9}{25}\)

∴ x = \(\frac{9}{25}\)
