Solve : TimeWarner//RoadRunner Modem?

This one's making me crazy, I don't have any resoloution.
Recent Cable Internet install at my house...
I have a TimeWarner-issued modem, that goes to a LinkSys WIRELESS router, then 2 cables to 2 DeskTops.

My internet is so glitchy, that I have REALIZED out of 3 modems, only 1 is acting predictably.

Is this a MODEM ISSUE, a Modem//Router issue ( HANDSHAKE )..
Or what ??

Is there ANYTHING I can do that's different from this config that will work better ??
