So your computer is connected directly to a switch outside your house? We can't help you then. There is definitely a router between you and the internet that needs to be configured. Since you don't have ownership of said router the only thing you can do, is to ASK whoever is in charge of your internet connection to open the ports you need. (Or change to another ISP.)aren't there any other solutions...........

Take a look at this site and see if your modem/router is listed.

i am connected to the internet through built in LAN card.....
My ISP connected CAT 5 cable (4wires) in the LAN CARD.....
