My ISP connected CAT 5 cable (4wires) in the LAN CARD..... how will i SEARCH for the deicated router..... Where does the cable plugged into your lan card go? The other end should be connected to a box with some LIGHTS on it. What is the name of this box?Quote from: Deerpark on February 16, 2008, 05:50:33 AM Where does the cable plugged into your lan card go? What is the name of this box? they plug the another end of the cable to the swith... they have attached the switch some what 60 meters from my house at a pole.... So your computer is connected directly to a switch outside your house? We can't help you then. There is definitely a router between you and the internet that needs to be configured. Since you don't have ownership of said router the only thing you can do, is to ASK whoever is in charge of your internet connection to open the ports you need. (Or change to another ISP.)aren't there any other solutions........... |
