Hi. I have a problem here. I can't seem to join any game by DIRECT IP CONNECTION.
I have diagnosed the problem as below.

I am sending out TCP packets to the host's 6112 port, but nothing comes back to me despite the programmes listening to the 6112/6110 port on my com.

Any help?Is your computer connecte to the modem or router?
check firewall configuration of the computer / try to disable the firewallThe thing is my current network connection is to a wall plug where I plug in my cable into , meaning to say its connected to my university's server in this way. Where you able to play warcraft before? mybe your school server bloack the ports for the warcraft gameI had no problems with warcraft before. I emailed the university ADMIN and they have told me they have not touched the servers in any way. Furthermore, my mates at the same hostel CAN join games, but I can't. Any IDEA if its the problem of settings or what?Are you trying to the same game server? The thing is, I'm trying to connect to a host OUTSIDE of my network. I used to be able to do so, but the thing is MY computer OR settings just prevent me from doing so.
Put it this way, my FRIEND comes to my plug with a laptop and connects, he CAN access games outside, whereas mine can't.
