Answer» Hi Folks!
I have a couple(rather More) of queries in REGARD to Internet Connectivity using ADSL technology.
Query No.>>1:: My Broadband Modem lists options such as Connectivity through PPPoE/PPPoA, Bridge Mode, Dynamic & Static. What's the deciding factor to go for ONE of these?
Query No.>>2:: I tried setting up LAN(Internet) through Bridge Mode, it always gave me an Error Code--691 despite of the fact that I used correct Username/Password. On the contrary, PPPoE/PPPoA works most of the times(though it lists PAP Authentication Failure sometimes). What could be causing a FAILURE with Bridge Mode?
Query No.>>3::Which method of Connectivity is SUPERIOR, USB or Ethernet? I have observed many ISPs of UK like TalkTalk of Carphone Warehouse only disperse Modems with USB Connectivity & not otherwise or both ways? Is USB Connectivity only offers the COST ADVANTAGE over its couterpart OR something Logical GOES into it?
Probably Last of the Queries>>My USB based LAN icon(both within "Network Connections" & "System Tray") only appears once the Modem is TURNED ON? Now WHY is that so?Is anyone there to answer these Queries?!
please avoid bumping 1: dynamic 2: do you really need bridge mode? 3:ethernet is faster 4:duhWhat do you mean by duh?
