Solve : USB Home network, How??

Answer»

This should get you started:

Open up My Computer
Right-Click the drive you want to share
Select "Sharing & Security"
ACKNOWLEDGE warning
Follow instructions.

Best to CREATE a folder just for sharing, you don't really want to share the entire "C"-drive. You can also create a separate partition just for sharing.

Which Tenda wireless router did you get?
HI again ....The Tenda router I got was labeled as

Tenda N3 Mini b/g/n 150Mbps WiFI Wireless-N Router AP English Firmware

from E bay for 20 BUCKS free postage from China although i had to wait a bit ... no hurry though ..
anyway .
I am having a look at what you wrote for me and will get back to you if it works , or not , since XP already has folders called shared folders i was trying to SEE if they worked first ... the problem was just trying to see the other computer

Anyway I will try and see how I get on ........
thanks agian

That is a "mini"; only has 1 wired LAN port.

It Also has something called wi-fi direct , but im not sure what it is or how it works , i think it is for file sharing but you have to turn the internet bit off ,,, i did that once and it took me ages to get it back on ....
I will have to read up on it first .....
What would be the easiest way to share files over wi-fi /.?
