Answer» I am using my laptop in a wireless configuration. When I check the available networks it shows an excellent connection is available to my wireless network. HOWEVER, when I make the ACTUAL connection it is very weak. Any HELP appreciated. WELL it is normal that the connection is weaker when you are connected then when you check. Are you sure that you're network just ain't that weak? Jonas The wireless signal strength indicator in Windows is very-very-very inaccurate. same thing, I have wireless at home, and sometimes it shows very good but actually its very low, the thing is that I sharing with my friend. If you want a BETTER connection you should go buy a router
