i am having a major issue with my wireless connection

while i can get to all sites ok i am having issues pinging 2 known sites www.microsoft.com and www.sun.com

another issue is that i cant ping anyone via hamachi and regular pinging via cmd prompt either which is related by that i cant ping anyone on the west coast (i am in VIrginia) and people in europe oddly i think theres one person who i can ping and HES in singapore oO
with this issue i cant join any games but only host them.

i tried alot of methods expect doing a full reinstall

my computer specs-
os windows vista
make dell xps 1530
ram 4gb
processor intel core2 duo cpu [emailprotected] ghz
antispyware-
spybot:search and destroy
antivirus-
symantac endpoint protection
firewall-
windows default




all of this started when i applied the windows update i think which was about a week ago
and the drivers,etc are all updated i think (only did the network one)

another thing is running a intel manual diagnostic test it shows that my access point is invalid (not responding) icant do SYSTEM RESTORES because the earilest one didnt work at all.
