This computer is continually trying to get updates. Every day, the yellow exclamation mark update icon appears, and when I click on it, and get it to install, it says it's installing updates, and when I go to turn off the PC, it wants to install updates before shutting down. It does this every day. So I figure something must be wrong. And so when I try to go to the windows update site, Internet Explorer isn't even working, and YET Firefox is...

ThanksGo to the RUN COMMAND and type SERVICES.MSC
Find AUTOMATIC UPDATES
Right click it and click STOP
Go to the following folder: c:\windows\
Delete the following folder: softwaredistribution
Go back to SERVICES & start AUTOMATIC UPDATES
Restart your pc & see if that helps.
