Solve : windows won't load up when network is plugged in? |
|
Answer» I have my two computers sharing a broadband connection. Main computer is Windows XP Home Edition. Other computer is Windows XP Professional. NETWORK is all hooked up. Main computer works fine. XP Pro computer will not load all the way in if network is plugged in at modem. It gets to screen which says Windows XP Professional with green line moving across bottom to show loading and then it will either stop (NEVER to go again) or the screen will go black and stay that way. If I load in windows without the network being plugged in, and plug it in after windows is done loading, then it will freeze up and have to TURN it off. If I start in safe mode with network plugged in, it will work fine...but what fun is that??? I've tried WINSOCK FIX but that didn't work. Any other ideas out there?? Or am i just gonna have to shoot it? |
