Answer» Can 2 or more Wireless Laptops be used at the same time on ONE phone line through the same ONE wireless Router? Please let us know what type of Internet connection you have...
Dial-up or High-speed (Broadband: i.e., DSL, Cable)?
Yes, you can have more than one wireless notebook connecting to your wireless network through your router. Thanks for the reply. I am on Broadband in the UK.Do you need assistance setting up your wireless network? No, but thanks for asking. Was just wondering if multi 'puters was a possibility.Alrighty then...you're welcome.
Let us know if we can be of any further assistance...Hi Savior, I have 2 laptops, utilizing Vista, both networked via a wireless router. Both COMPUTERS can access the internet but I cannot share files with one of them (#2). #1 computer has all the files I need made avaiable for sharing with #2 but I cannot get access to #2 (Esther-PC). When I try to log onto #2 from #1 I get the message: WINDOWS cannot access\\Esther-PC Check the spelling of the name. Otherwise there MAY be a problem with your network. When I pressed the Windows Diagnostics it came back with the response: Cannot communicate with Esther-PC (192.168.1.145) Network Diagnostics pinged the remote host but did not receive a response.
Help would be GREATLY appreciated, PETER
