I just bought a brand new Dynex Wireless G destop card from best buy. I then opened the case read the directions it said install the software FIRST and then INSERT the network card. So I installed the software and put the card in the BACK of my Dell Desktop Computer. When I did this and turned back on my computer it said new hardware detected and then it configered and it was done. I then clicked on the Icon the software MADE on my desktop which nothing happened when I clicked it. I then took everything off my computer took out the card and repeated the steps. I have no IDEA how to get this to work so I can pick up my wireless signal. Can anyone help me and I'm new to network cards what does the G stand for in Wireless G desktop card?Here you can read about wireless protocols and where the G comes from:

What type of pc?
What type of OS?Does your Device Manager show the card under Network adapters?  Does Device Manager say the device is working properly?
