I have two computers, one is upstairs and it's the laptop which Im using right now and I have the smc wireless GATEWAY modem all set up here so my laptop is not connected to the internet wirelessly. The other computer, which is the problem here, is in the basement. its just a regular desktop and it has no internet CONNECTION whatsoever. therefore, Im wondering how I could make the desktop computer gain internet connection also because this wireless gateway product I got is suppose to wirelessly give access to multiple computers in the house at the same time, but I dont know how to make that happen. what must I do to the desktop computer in order to give it access to the internet along with the laptop's internet Im using right now? by the way, Im sorry if this question was ever answered before. thanksDoes the desktop PC have a network CARD? If so is it a wireless card?The easiest way, as mroilfield is also hinting at, would be to connect the desktop computer wirelessly to the internet gateway, assuming the wireless signal is powerful enough to reach the desktop in the basement.

the desktop pc is a pentium 4, windows xp, 1.7 ghz 512 ram

the wireless gateway modem is called smc8014w-g broadband wireless gateway.
