Solve : Wireless IP Problem ??

Hello 

Having trouble with my internet connection, running Windows 7.

It goes slow sometimes or loses connection, I did a Diagnostics and got the following:




Not sure if this is a conflict but I use 2 Different wireless connections, mine and my brothers.

Lock your wireless connection to only one wifi network. Click on one and choose disconnect. To check on network profile,
1. Open Network and Sharing Center and Click on Manage Wireless Network.
2. Check on both wireless connection's SSID you were using (Ex. WIfi A and Wifi B).
3. If you currently use Wifi A, right-click Wifi B and choose Properties.
4.On Connection tab unchecked all box and hit Ok.

Networks I use are, Gasca and 2WIRE544


For example if I want " Gasca " as my first network to connect, I checked on auto connect. So here is Wireless Network Properties and Wireless Status.






Not sure if these are the correct security settings?




I cannot download anything at all, it downloads for a couple minutes then freezes and can't really download anything, whats the problem? my browser? or IP conflict ?

Rebuild your network to feature WPA2 with AES. Place your network settings on DHCP and make sure your router acts as a DHCP server.

Its on " Home " and I unchecked all the sharing options because I don't need it. I would like to use WEP for now. My question will be which do you recommend, for " Security type " No Authentication (Open) Or  Shared ?

Checked or Unchecked? for this setting.

There's no such thing as as secure WEP. You might as well use no encryption if you live in a city.

The problem is not in the settings menu you have shown. You need to check your router's DHCP settings.2Wire DSL modem/router is PPoE.  Looks like you're connected at 802.11b.  Turn security off until you get it running.Alright thanks guys for the help..
