Solve : Wireless N Router, Tracing usage.?

Answer»

I have a Linksys WRT150N router with limited bandwidth LAN INTERNET from my ISP.

It is currently Unsecured because it hasn't been SETUP long, and it does not yet have the network secured. I think however that my neighbors have been using my internet because my ISP tells me that i've USED 7GB more this month than norm.

How can I find out if it was my neighbors?
Is there a way I can see the IP/Mac addresses of all the computers that have used this network in the last month?

Or anything else you could suggest to find out who used this network in the past would be good too.Do you have any peer to peer software running?

What do your router logs show? Quote from: Quantos on August 01, 2009, 05:01:08 AM

How do I view router logs?It should have some sort of mac address viewing, so you can see all the computers connected to it.  Or you could just put a password on it Quote from: Cityscape on August 01, 2009, 11:31:22 AM

What router do you have?
If you provide manufacturer and model information I can link you to a how-to, which shouldn't be confused with a HoDown. Quote from: Cityscape on July 31, 2009, 10:28:20 PM

why not just enable security...I was just looking at the MANUAL for that one.  I concur, just secure your connection.
