1.

State law of conservation of momentum.

Answer»

From the principle, in an isolated system, the vector sum of the linear momentum of all bodies of the system is conserved and is unaffected du their mutual action and reaction.

The total linear momentum of all the bodies in the system is given by

\(\vec{p}=m_1\vec{v_1}+m_2\vec{v_2}+...+m_n\vec{v_n}\) = \(M\vec{v_{c.m}}=constant\)
