By products of sugar industry-

• Bagasse: It is a WASTE and rejected cane left after crushing them for its liquid. It can be used for making papers and cardboard.

• MOLASSES: It is a dark brown colored syrup formed during sugar production. In US and Canada, sugarcane molasses is used for sweetening and flavoring foods.

• Beet pulp: A material that remains after extraction of sugar from sugarcane. It is an good source of fibre.

• Pressmud: It's an good source of fertilizer used by farmers in their crop fields. It replace the requirements of chemical fertilizers. Sugar industries in India PRODUCE almost 12million tones of it.
