The area of a square field is \(30\frac{1}{4}\)m2. Calculate the length of the side of the square

Answer»

Given, area = \(30\times\frac{1}{4}\) m2

\(\frac{121}{4}\)m2

If L is length of each side then,

L2 = \(\frac{121}{4}\)

L = \(\sqrt{\frac{121}{4}}= \frac{\sqrt{121}}{\sqrt{4}}\)

\(\frac{11}{2}\) (Therefore, \(\sqrt{121} = 11, \sqrt{4} = 2)\)

Therefore, length is \(\frac{11}{2}\)
