Answer» The valency of hydrogen is 1 because it has only one electron in its orbit so, it can exchange only the electron it has with it, So, when hydrogen comes in contact with any electronegative atom it gives off its only electron it has and becomes H+ . Because the outer most shell of hydrogen have one electro there for it have one valency |
