Answer» Correct Answer - Option 4 : 575 Given∶ average number of bulbs produced by a company per day in a week is 500 Calculations∶ Let the number of bulbs produced by the company on 7 days of weeks is a1 + a2 + a3 + a4 + a5 + a6 + a7 respectively. Average of bulbs produced in the whole week = (a1 + a2 + a3 + a4 + a5 + a6 + a7) / 7 = 500 ⇒ a1 + a2 + a3 + a4 + a5 + a6 + a7 = 3500 According to question; per day production is increased by 15% the total number of bulbs is ⇒ 3500 + 15% of 3500 ⇒ 3500 + 525 ⇒ 4025 New average = 4025 / 7 ⇒ 575 Hence the new average is 575. |
