The definition of volume coefficient of a gas is different from the definitions of the volume coefficient of a solid or a liquid. Why? |
| Answer» Solution :In case of a gas, the initial volume at `0^(@)C` is to be taken whereas in case of SOLIDS and LIQUIDS, the initial volume at the initial temperature can betaken SINCE the CHANGES in volumes of solids and liquids with temperature are very small whereas the changes in volume of the gases are not so small. | |
