Thus radius = 84/2 = 42 cm

Length of the roller =120 cm 

= 120/100 = 1.2m

It takes 500 complete revolutions to roll over the play ground. 

Thus 500 × L.S.A. of the roller

= Area of the play ground 

∴ Area of the play ground = 500 × 2πrh

= 500 × 2 × 22/7 × 0.42 × 1.2 = 1584 m2
