1.

The difference of two supplementary angles is 34°. Find the angles.

Answer»

Let the first angles be x°.

Second angle = (x + 34)°

∴ x° + (x + 34)° = 180°

=> 2x + 34° = 180°

2x = 180° – 34°

=> 2x = 146°

x = 73°

The first angle = 73°

Second angle = 73° + 34° = 107°.
